At Beko, we are committed to helping families live healthier, better lives through our appliances. That's why we've chosen Barnardo's as our charity partner. For more than 150 years, Barnardo's has been helping vulnerable families and children in the UK, creating safe and loving home environments. We share Barnardo's ambition and are proud to support them as a charity partner.

The Beko Veg Pledge Initiative

We’re donating fresh fruit and vegetables to Barnardo’s as part of our Veg Pledge Initiative.

As part of our 2021 and 2022 summer cooling campaigns, we ran a promotion that offered customers free fruit and vegetables with each purchase of a qualifying HarvestFresh™ fridge freezer, helping kick start or continue a healthy lifestyle.

For every promotional claim, we pledged a box of fruit and vegetables to a Barnardo’s. In 2021, we pledged over 4,000 boxes to Barnardo’s, making a positive impact to the daily lives of the families supported by Barnardo’s.

Our 2021 Veg Pledge Initiative received the Promotion of the Year award from the Institute of Promotional Marketing. The gold award is presented to unique, exciting, and innovative incentives that delivered beyond just a consumer benefit.

Helping to Make a Difference

As a company, we strongly believe we have a responsibility to give back and we are proud to work alongside Barnardo’s to help families across the country. Since partnering with the charity in 2013, we have donated over 800 home appliances to Barnardo’s beneficiaries across the UK, making a positive impact to the daily lives of young people and families.

To celebrate our Partnership with Barnardo’s, our website, our head office even some of our appliances turned green to raise awareness.

£28,000 Donated

To celebrate the launch of our 28 minute Quick Programme across our washing machines we donated £28,000 to Barnardo’s, £1,000 for every minute!

About Barnardo's

Some children face the toughest start in life, making them lose hope and trust in the world. This could be a child with poor mental health. A child who has experienced abuse. Or a young person leaving care. Barnardo’s has been supporting, protecting, and transforming the lives of the most vulnerable children and young people across the UK for over 150 years. And whatever it takes, they support them to recover and rebuild, as they grow into adulthood.

And that’s not all. Barnardo’s specialist workers support families through domestic abuse, mental health problems, prison sentences, asylum seeking and much more.

The scale of what they do may be big and complex, but their aim is simple – to provide the best outcome for every child, no matter who they are or what they have been through.
