How to Clean, Use, and Maintain Your Beko CaffeExperto Bean to Cup Coffee Machine CEG7304X

Filling the Machine with Coffee Beans

When you first use your machine, or when the coffee bean icon is flashing, the appliance needs to be filled with coffee beans.

To fill your appliance with beans:

  1. Remove the bean container lid.
  2. Slowly pour in the coffee beans.
  3. Place the container lid back on.

Using Ground Coffee

  1. Select the ground coffee icon.
  2. Remove the pre-ground coffee container lid.
  3. Slowly put the pre-ground coffee into the pre-ground coffee container (7-13g).
  4. Replace the container lid.

Grinding Adjustments

  1. Adjust the grinding coarseness by turning the adjustment knob on the bean container.
  2. The lines on the adjustment knob indicate the coarseness of the grind. A bigger number means a coarser grind level.
  3. Never adjust the grinder when it is not operating, as it may damage the grinder.

Starting the Machine

  1. Place a small container underneath the machine's nozzle.
  2. Switch on the appliance by pressing the power on/off button. The appliance will start pre-heating and auto-cleaning.
  3. Wait for the preheat and rinse cycle to complete. During this cycle, water will be ejected from the nozzle.

Preparing Your Coffee

  1. Once the cycle is complete, place a cup under the coffee spout and adjust the height of the spout according to the cup.
  2. Select your coffee by pressing the corresponding button:
  • For coffee beans, select the strength of your drink by pressing the ‘standard bean’ or ‘intense bean’ button.
  • For ground coffee, press the ‘ground coffee’ option.
  1. The cup light will turn on, indicating that the appliance is preparing a cup of coffee.

Saving Coffee Volume

You can save the volume of your desired coffee for all beverages, as well as hot water, from 25ml to 250ml.

To save the volume:

  1. Press and hold the button of the coffee you have selected while the coffee is pouring.
  2. The appliance will continue to make the coffee for as long as you hold down the button.
  3. When the volume of coffee meets your desired amount, release the button.
  4. If you hear two beeps, it indicates that the machine has saved this volume of coffee.
  5. When the appliance returns to idle mode, your coffee is ready to serve.

Preparing Frothy Milk for Coffee

  1. Fill the Milk Cup, making sure you do not exceed the max lines or put too little in under the min line.
  2. Attach the milk cup to the machine and adjust the milk froth by turning the knob.
  3. To adjust the milk volume, press and hold your coffee selection to increase the volume of your milk.
  4. Press the power button and selected beverage button for 3 seconds to reset customizations.
  5. Make sure to clean the milk nozzle with a dry fibre cloth after each use.

Cleaning the Appliance

After each use you should:

  • Press the cleaning/descaling button once to rinse the coffee outlet.
  • Press the cleaning/descaling button twice to rinse the milk cup.

To deeply clean the appliance, follow the instructions below. If you see a red icon with beans in a cup, you need to clean your appliance.

  1. Unplug the power cord from the outlet.
  2. Empty the drip tray and coffee residue container of any water and coffee grounds.
  3. Wipe any spills or stains on the machine with a damp cloth or a mild cleaning agent.
  4. Open the front cover.
  5. Take out the drip tray, brewing unit, and coffee residue container.
  6. Disassemble the steam nozzle by pulling down the metal tube and turning the nozzle cover to the left.
  7. Clean the removed parts with warm, soapy water. Most parts (except the brewing unit) are dishwasher safe.
  8. Rinse the metal tube and nozzle cover under running water, using a small brush to clean any narrow holes.
  9. Use a brush to clean the coffee outlet line.
  10. Dry all parts thoroughly with a microfiber cloth.
  11. Put all the cleaned parts back into place inside the machine.

Descaling Function

When the descaling light flashes (three stars), it indicates that the appliance requires descaling. To initiate the descaling process:

  1. Fill the water tank to the 'descaling level.'
  2. Add one pack of cleaning agent to the water tank.
  3. Position a large container beneath the coffee spout and nozzle.
  4. When the descaling light flashes (three stars) during idle mode, press and hold the descaling button for three seconds. You'll hear a beep, and the descaling light will continue flashing until the water tank is empty.
  5. Refill the water tank to the descaling level with water and press the button again to start the second descaling cycle. If the water tank is removed and replaced, the appliance will automatically commence the second cycle without further button pressing.
  6. Once the water tank is emptied, the screen will return to idle mode, indicating that the descaling process is complete.

Empty System Function (For Long Periods of Non-Use)

  • Press the power button and milk cup button for 3 seconds.
  • Remove the water tank. The device will empty all the water inside and shut off.

Deactivating Auto Clean (not recommended)

  • Open the front cover.
  • Press the power button for 5 seconds and close the door.

Muting/Unmuting the Device

  • Press the power button and ground coffee button for 3 seconds to toggle mute.
